WHAT DOES IT COST TO JOIN THE CLUB? Annual fee is only $50.

WHAT DO THE LUNCHEONS COST? Each luncheon, which includes the speaker, is only $50.

HOW DO I PAY? You may purchase your membership and luncheon tickets either online at “www.wcccalgary.com” or by sending in a cheque to our Treasurer.

PAYMENT ONLINE has a $1.50 web processing fee, plus $2.00 per item,  that helps us offset the credit card charges we get.  It doesn't cover the entire fee, but covers a portion.

DO I HAVE TO ATTEND EVERY LUNCHEON? You are free to attend the luncheons/speakers that interest you and work with your schedule.

WHERE ARE THE MEETINGS HELD? In the Crystal Ballroom at the Palliser Hotel located at 133 9th Avenue SW in downtown Calgary.

WHAT IS THE MEETING FORMAT? A sherry reception is offered in the hotel lobby starting at 11:15am. Doors open to the dining room at 11:50am. Lunch is served at 12pm and the speaker or entertainment commences at 12:30 for 30 minutes. A short business meeting follows the presentation and we are usually finished by 1:15pm.

WHERE CAN I PARK? Valet parking is offered by the hotel for $15. Simply pull up to the front entrance of the hotel and wait for the parking attendant to help you.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE HANDICAPPED PEOPLE? There is an elevator on the west side of the front doors of the hotel.

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR SPEAKERS? Speakers are chosen following a special planning meeting where potential speakers and entertainment are submitted by our Board members and general membership. They are chosen from a list which includes education, history, health & medical, business, the arts, entertainment, politics, sports and philanthropy.

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE AGE OF YOUR MEMBERS? 60 years of age. We have some members in their 30’s and some members are in their 80’s.

ARE MEN ALLOWED TO JOIN? Absolutely. In fact, we have 4 gentlemen who attend our meetings almost every month.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF YOUR ORGANIZATION? We are a group of life-long learners who gather once a month to socialize and through our speakers, stay informed on a variety of local and national topics.
