Tracy joined the Calgary Public Library in 2013 in the most junior position, campaign assistant. In 2019 Tracy became the CEO of the Calgary Public Library at age 29! During her time as CEO donorship has grown from 900 to more than 27,00 donors raising over $80 million. Tracy oversaw the expansion of LibraryStore.ca , a fundraising e-commerce site, to an in-person, volunteer run care at the Central Library that has since raised more than $23,000. Tracy’s “A Ladder Up on Literacy” initiative saw a decommissioned fire truck, Engine 23, arrive at the Fish Creek Library to serve as an interactive early learning centre for children. Tracy and her team are working to raise the standard for what public libraries can achieve. She is well known for her passionate strategic leadership. Tracy holds strong to the belief that “People are going to judge a book by its cover, but you have the potential to change minds.”
